about
me…
Thank you for stopping by! Here’s a little bit more about me :)
Born to a Japanese mother and Italian father, I grew up in Tokyo, Japan, where I was uniquely positioned in between two very distinct worlds: the diverse and vibrant community of my international school, and the traditional Japanese society that surrounded me.
I moved to the US in 2020 to study at Stanford University. I explored a variety of different majors including Chemistry and Materials Science Engineering, before finally finding my passion for Computer Science at the beginning of my Junior year. In June of 2024, I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science. Now, I am diving deeper into the field by pursuing a MSc in Computer Science on the Artificial Intelligence track, and will graduate in June of 2025.
Over the past year at Stanford, I have been very involved in teaching within the CS department. I have taken on multiple roles as a teaching assistant, and even had the opportunity to serve as a co-instructor for Stanford’s CS105, “Introduction to Computers”, for Title 1 high school students through Stanford’s Digital Education program. My favorite class to teach is always CS106A, Stanford’s introductory CS course. There's something incredible about guiding students who start the quarter without knowing how to write a single line of code, and then witnessing them build full-fledged programs by the end.
I am also part of the Mayfield Fellows Program (‘24), an intensive entrepreneurship work-study program that teaches us how to lead principled, high-growth tech ventures. Notable alumni include Kevin Systrom, CEO and co-founder of Instagram, Justin Rosenstein, co-founder of Asana, and Josh Reeves, CEO and co-founder of Gusto.

Whenever I am not working or watching Love Island, you can probably find me training. Growing up with a father was a semi-pro cyclist and a mother was on Japan’s national volleyball team, I grew up very active. I always set physical challenges for myself, and right now, I am training towards completing an Ironman 70.3 (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run) in December of 2024, with hopes to complete the full Ironman (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run) at some point in 2025!
My Japanese side of the family is from Ina-shi in Nagano, nestled in Japan’s central alps. I spent much of my childhood in the mountains helping my grandparents on their farm, which sparked my love for nature and the outdoors. This connection has only grown stronger since coming to California; I've been blown away by the natural beauty here, with Yosemite topping my list of favorite spots so far.
My farming roots and love for nature unexpectedly brought me to Oxford University during my Junior year of Stanford. I had the incredibly opportunity to spend 4 months studying plant sciences and sustainable agriculture at Oxford under Dr. Ryan Veryard.
